Northland Corridor Program

“The project is a key connector and of strategic importance to the regional and national economy and it is good to see this work get underway.”

Derek Robertson, New Zealand Transport Agency’s Northland Corridor Programme Director

Stretching 100 km from Auckland to Northland, the Northland Corridor is a NZ$3.649b NPV project, comprising three Roads of National Significance.

Together, they are set to boost economic growth and productivity, ease congestion, lift safety outcomes, enable new housing development and build a more resilient road network for the region.

Our Role

Actif provided strategic advisory to strengthen the core proposal, with additional self-funded projects that supported a superior value for money proposition.

We strategically developed two individual projects, leveraging the core PPP’s scope to generate a superior value for money proposition in relation to community benefits, social legacy and sustainable outcomes.

Actif turned this into a key differentiator for the consortium: the projects were fully self-funded, adding no cost to the core PPP bid.
